CFL all-star DL Alex Bazzie waived by Colts

American defensive end Alex Bazzie has been waived by the Indianapolis Colts.

Bazzie, who is now a free agent, notched a career-high 11 sacks and 31 tackles to go with a forced fumble last year for BC and he was named a West Division all-star. He’s posted 29 sacks in 50 career CFL games, all with the Lions. The six-foot-one, 228-pound Marshall product has found a way to consistently rush and disrupt the passer in the CFL.

  1. The CFL game is much more suited for him being smaller quicker on a wider field and having the one yard off the ball. Yeah love to have him back with the Lions

  2. Should re-sign with the Lions as he would improve the Lions defence.

I’m sure there could be a few teams interested. Its a bad time of year for this as teams are usually at capacity in terms of cap space

How does the cap Work in the off-season? They have about 65 players or so. Wouldn’t cap space only work for final rosters?

  4. Please Hamilton pleeeaasse

Bazzie is exactly what the Redblacks need: a premium pass rusher. He and Khalil Bass would make quite the tandem on D.
