Adam Bighill to make surprise NFL debut on Monday Night Football

One week after missing out on the Saints’ 53-man active roster, Adam Bighill will be in the line-up for tonight’s regular season opener in Minnesota.

Bighill was added to New Orleans’ practice roster nine days ago after a promising training camp down south. Many expected the former Lion linebacker to win a spot on the club’s active roster — after a brief setback, it appears Bighill’s supporters will get their wish.

Bighill, a fan favorite in many CFL cities, will be sure to get plenty of eyeballs north of the border as his Saints take on the Vikings tonight in Minneapolis. Kick-off is at 7:10 PM ET.

  1. Is he starting….no…then chances are we won’t see him.

  2. I will be watching to see how he does. Well I hope.

He will be a Special Teams Beast!! You will see him and in this league you never know when and how your number will be called…

  4. he has won a spot on special teams for now.

  5. Grats Adam. You earned it.

  6. I saw him play in the preseason, most effective. Even the commentators there mentioned him a good deal and that he played in Canada.

I saw some of the game last night, but didn’t see him. Mind you, I wasn’t aware that he was on the active roster. If I’d known then, I would have kept an eye out.

Always, proud to see our CFL guys make it down there.

    Best wishes, Adam.

  7. Great to see another star from the CFL get another break.
